I am currently a guidance counselor at King. In May, both Dave Forecki and Jeff Brooks are retiring. Dave has been at King for 39 years as both a guidance counselor and math teacher. Jeff has been at King for 28 years in the same positions. I am trying to put together a collection of emails from past students and staff to present to both of them on their last day. If you would please take the time to email me with any "retirement message or memory" you have I would appreciate it. My email is BrMIkell@sbcglobal.net. Thanks so much.

Oh, how I remember the sweaty palms during tryouts! But, I made it! Soooo much fun we had!

I have a few photos from the Christmas parade that I will need to scan them but I have to get ready for a house guest that's arriving tomorrow. Going back down memory lane is so GREAT! Did anyone remember the name of that cabaret song we did a routine to that made us all feel like it was a strip tease performance? I guess in today's standards it would be considered very conservative!

Oh, how I remember those fun times. I was about to kill Ms. Jupka for giving me the shortest skirt (showing my skinny legs, urgh!) Shari definitely put my legs to shame. Starting practice in August was brutal, but you guys were tons of fun.

Rhonda, I forgot about the Christmas parades. I wonder where and if we can get videos. I remember that it was so cold in December, that we had to have it in November. It was usually the Saturday after my birthday. One year, I had a slumber party the Friday before and all my girlfriends got to watch us on tv. We nearly froze our butts off, but we were soooo sharp (according to my girls).

Oh yeah...I forgot about the homemade garters to go along with the homemade skirts! Remember marching in the Christmas parade downtown? I also was thinking about those awful tryouts that we had to go through. I remember trying hard to learn that "Fame" routine. I felt like we were trying out for "So You Think You Can Dance?" Then we had the horror of waiting to see if our names showed up on the "master list." Of course we all made it but the waiting was nerve-wrecking!

Those were the days. I can't stop smiling. We had so much fun. I still have my homemade garter we wore for homecoming in the muddy football field.
